Ai, finally had a moment to sit down and compile my photos from the last few weeks. Hope this ties everyone over until I come home.

Eliza's Birthday, Marcelo threw her a surprise birthday party at his house...

Manel Scorza participated in a week long celebration honoring 60 years of children's education in Lima. To recognize such as accomplishment, the kids made signs. On Wednesday we marched through the streets and visited the neighboring schools.

In addition to the march, we (a group of visiting business students form NYU and I) put together a skit to the song "Tres Chancitos (which follows three little pigs who don't listen to their mother and have their tails bitten off by a hungry wolf). I had to sing...jaja

I made sure to appear in more photos for my most devoted follower Mr. Kirkpatrick :) (still working on those photos of my room and the CCS house)

And of course there was cake...

The boys took us to Inka for a weekend.

Lake Wakachina-literally an oasis in the middle of desert.

The school gave thanks to God for medicine and health by reenacting the wounded being saved my doctors.

Some were more wounded then others...

Teaching "Boy" and "Girl" to my five year olds, I had them copy each word (boy and girl) four times and draw a picture.

Another lesson plan: pin the "Body Part" on the Boy

House Visits. This women is dying from ovarian cancer as well as some form of liver cancer.

This past weekend, Eliza and I went to the jungle, boarded a cargo boat in the port town of Tarapoto and spent three days relaxing in hammocks and eating Ritz con Queso (the ever classy Ritz cracker with cheese)

 The sleeping corridors

We stopped at a bunch of small port towns along the way....

Along with over 100 local peruvians traveling by boat, we meet backpackers from all around the world.

It started raining, and after a brief shower came a DOUBLE RAINBOW!!!

At this point feeling a little grimy (we didn't shower for three days)
Ryan, Eliza's friend, came along for the adventure.

We landed in Iquitos, which is only accessible by plane or boat.

I ate alligator nuggets...they were incredible chewy?

I miss you guys. Less then a week left until I'm back in the Rock...

Happy sad...
